“Sebastian’s Leadership Reflections” changes its name to “Students of Leadership”
Why?
Because my passion for staying curious and my efforts to think free and critical, are not a mere intellectual exercise, but an active practice for impact.
A student has the responsibility to act on learnings, to put them in practice. The reflecting intellectual greatly contributes to the discussion, however from a different place, and not necessarily bear the responsibility to act.
I chose to act every single day. With it comes the heat, the success and the setback, the responsibility to be in motion and the accountability for the results.
A leader must be a student of leadership because leadership is complex, contextual, situational, generational, shaped by challenges and tested by opportunities, a team sport, a privilege. Leadership needs adaptation and evolution, requires the support of others, invites to a journey of self-discovery and growth. None of this can happen if one doesn’t have a student’s mindset paired with the responsibility to act.

Great name change Sebastian! We're all here because we want to learn and we'll never stop doing that... at least I won't.... I'm happy to be a student every day of my life.
